BAMA ranked #1 in nine straight seasons which is the most . Florida has done it eight time , while au , lsu , tenn. could only manage it four times . ROLL TIDE ...... so glad I am able to enjoy this , I just really remember right at the end of the BEAR era . And when '92 came it was almost orgasmic , just to see to all crumble and for quite a while there I thought the administration wasn't trying to be great and was more than willing to rest on thier laurels . Sure is nice up in in the clouds. FWIW, during Bryant's era, many times they should have been #1 and were not. Most of his time at #1 was at the end of the season. This is not a Bear vs Saban thing, it is just how it was back then and why we don't have even more total weeks at #1.

Bama fatigue wasn't that hard to deal with back then. Just vote it away and they did. Do you think the press knows it's OK to pay coach Saban multiple compliments without bringing up coach Bryant as a measuring stick?
