The University of Alabama wants to make sure that giving game tickets to coaches accompanying prospects on recruiting trips doesnāt violate a new state ethics law.
The Alabama Ethics Commission is expected to release an advisory opinion at its meeting next Wednesday.
Deborah Lane, assistant vice president for university relations at the University of Alabama, confirmed the university is seeking the clarification but said it will have no comment until after the commissionās ruling.

James Sumner, executive director of the commission, said the law passed in December 2010 does not directly address the issue.
