Man those guys are something else. Some of them are delusional. Yes in the SEC anything can happen to any team. But saying their offense, and running game, is just as good if not better than ours is laughable at best. Trying not to be a homer here but I'd take Richardson and Ingram over any RB duo in the nation right now. Call me crazy though... :lance::a:

Cliff notes : our secondary sucks and is a weakness (I agree if there is one weak spot on the D it's our younger players but they are improving leaps in every game they get experience, but they certainly don't "suck"). Their RBs are better than ours. This is Spurriers year. We pay refs. Last night proved nothing. We are overrated. Our elephant noise and AC/DC bell sounds are illegal per NCAA violations (from last years crying over that by USCjr fans).

Much of their fans think they will win, which might happen if we don't show up to win. However after reading about some of CNS's and the players comments from last nights performance makes me feel good because they knew we still have LOTS of work to do and far from playing a full 4 quarters on both sides of the ball like we should be playing. This team, specifically the D, is young but showing much improvement each game. I can't wait to see us fire on all cylinders on both sides of the ball for an entire 4 quarters and I'll feel sorry for that opposing team when it happens to them.

Beat the Roosters! Roll Tide Roll!!

I was on Cockytalk just hours after the Auburn game and they were going on and on about how Garcia sucks, the offense sucks and how they'll have NO CHANCE against Alabama in two weeks.

I always find it funny how a fanbase will DECLARE "no chance" yet once game week rolls around they're a 20 point favorites and Alabama is the worst team since the NJ NETS! lol

They declared Alabama will ROLL South Carolina and now...the Bama win over UF...simply a fluke! lol

I just went out there and read a couple of the threads about the Alabama game. I'd say 75% of them don't seem to be very confident about winning. A few of them were even talking about wanting to see us play Oregon or Boise St. (I'll get my big brother on you!) :lance:

They seem fairly intimidated after the Florida beat down. There were a few who seemed 'cocky'. One guy seemed to think they'd have no problem scoring on us, as if it were a given. (Does he not KNOW that we lead the nation in fewest points allowed?) His only concern was that they need to stop Ingram and Richardson.

I can't blame them for trying to show confidence in their team. But, most of them expect a beat down. I hope we can oblige them.

Back to the 1st post on this thread I didn't hear the ACDC bells on TV. I guess we didn't play it Sat. night. ??????

They play the bells. But they may be ACDC or Metallica. Who knows. They dont play them during a play so it does not violate any rules.

A co-worker (SoCar grad) says he's worried about them stopping the run, but says they can shut down the pass. What passing attack have they played?

Last year after we beat south carolina their AD made noise to the ncaa about us using the elephant sound effect and the bells from ac/dc. This is because they are bitter their rooster sound effect got banned.

Spurrier is perfect for that program. He's the biggest whiner and cry baby on earth. Recall the whole place-kicking tape incident. He'll whine his way to a closer game than it should be. I expect some officials home cooking for this game too. When it's all over with, it really won't even matter. We're still killing 'em.

USCjr's athletics site makes me laugh. "Bowl eligible for six consecutive years" is one of their claims to fame. If that is your claim to fame your program is in a sad, sad shape.

A few random thoughts...

Someone asked what passing attack they've played. Auburn is the only team with any form of passing attack they've faced this year and we didn't have a problem getting open at all. They did well against the run early but as their D tired the holes opened and we gashed them. I wouldn't think your backs will have any problem finding running room and their D-line isn't good enough to get consistent pressure on McElroy so it isn't like you'll have to worry about him making mistakes.

Lattimore is a good but very young running back. He will not be the answer to their woes Saturday night.

They will be able to move the ball some. Your secondary is not mistake-free and Jeffrey is a very dynamic player. Garcia will make mistakes though, especially when the pressure eventually gets to him, and it will.

Their only hope is to scheme to stop the run and pray to God that their secondary can hold up on an island with your receivers. They will have to protect the football, which is something Garcia has struggled with his entire career. They will need to establish control of the game and keep your offense off the field. Their hope for that rests on the shoulders of an eighteen year old true freshman, I don't like their chances.
