-- STALLINGS SUPPORTS SWINNEY: Former Alabama coach Gene Stallings visited practice at Clemson on Tuesday. Stallings spoke to the team and offered public support for interim coach Dabo Swinney, who played and coached the Crimson Tide under Stallings and is now a candidate for Clemson's vacant head coaching job.
"What is he, 38? I was a head coach when I was 29," Stallings told the Anderson Independent Mail. "He's had a whole lot more experienced that I had. I think he'll do an excellent job. He's well-schooled. He's knowledgeable. He's likeable. He's a good recruiter. He's a loyal individual, and I think he's ready."
