I liked Coach Perkins. I heard him speak at a QB club meeting a few years after he left Bama and he gave this answer to this question, "why were you opposed to playing a home and home game with awbarn while coaching at Alabama?"
"Alabama doesn't need the awbarn game, awbarn needs the Alabama game. Moving the game didn't help Alabama, it helped awbarn a lot. If I was still the AD, we wouldn't be playing at awbarn." And he said several other things along that line that I really liked.
Here he is at Lang's Sporting Goods in Decatur with my son. He told Joshua, "the next time you and your dad come to Tuscaloosa, come by my office and see me."
