I think it is a safe assumption that there will be a few prayer meetings in the UA staff as well as on the practice field starting TOMORROW to address the a$$ whipping we got today from a better-prepared South Carolina team. At least the lizzards were also beaten today by LSU so me MAY have an opportunity to face USC again in the SECCG. South Carolina deserves that game representating the SEC East (at least as of today).

Of course, as we all know with today's results, there are no givens in life (nor should there be) but we can only hope that nothing but positive results will be the case following this game.

Roll Tide!

Interesting comments. Thanks for posting. Don't agree with him about the qb pressure issues on offense. I thought the line did as well as they could have. We are too indecisive with the ball at times. But our receivers just couldn't get out in the open spaces, so one thing sort of builds on the other. Receiver can't get open, qb doesn't check down, offensive line loses the block after 4 seconds or so...wa la, 7 qb sacks.

Very true comments. Wouldn't it be amazing if UGA could rebound and win out? UK already has multiple sEC losses, vandy is going to lose some more, tennessee has lost 2 sec games already, and now Florida has lost 2. And don't forget, SC has an sec loss. The east is still somewhat wide open, with UGA, SC, and FLA still having an outside shot. I'm getting this sinking feeling that no one is coming out of the sec undefeated this year, and both teams in the title game will have at least 1 loss, possibly 2!!!!

To much success breeds complacency and goes against the process he emphasis's. Yet, he wants successs. So I suppose its a cyclical thing.

EDIT: Just dont lose to Georgia Southern, coach.

We play Ga State this year and GA Southern next. Why would you even think that losing that game is possible? I also have a problem with too much success. I want some more of that "too much". I am sure the players do too!

Yeah McElroy had all day to throw passes, but the Line wasn't creating hole for Ingram and Richardson, (then again we didn't pound it down their throats either)

I think once Saban sees that there were WIDE OPEN receivers on almost every single sack. he will be singing a differenet tune, but we won't ever hear it. The last thing he wants to do is show a lack of confidence in his starting QB.

I don't think Saban sounded relieved, just tired and unhappy. I think this will be a great teaching point for Saban to address complacency and playing to your potential.

I think there is sense of relief in his voice. I feel it also. I hate we lost but am hopeful that the pressure is now off us. The media hype will slow down, all the 19 game winning streak, Gmac undefeated since birth, #1 in the polls since??? Thats over now.

I know saban doesnt like the loss but he likes that he now has a point of emphasis, a character building/ teaching opportunity to use for the rest of the season. It's much easier to motivate players when they are not on top and getting full of themselves.
