Just dropping a line to you kind folks.

Hope my fellow Tigers have been kind over here.

ACC media days just got wrapped up, and Clemson was an almost unanimous pick to win their division, and a solid choice to win the conference outright.

Congrats on the prediction. I hope y'all are the best in the ACC and the 2nd best in all the land!

i havent heared many bad things about wake forest, they should be able compete for the division

WF defense should be tough. They are being over looked...and should not be.

Congrats, I'm glad to hear that. Dropping the first game to a non-conference opponent won't have any effect on your conference title. It will however make us look better at season end. :D

So are those Brown Chickens or White Chickens that you're expecting to hatch?

Congrats. Have fun with it, but know that Media Day Pre-Season polls make you no more of a Champion than being in Playboy makes Andre Smith a Playmate.

Wow...

didn't honestly expect the hostility

Just giving some news that was related to Alabama football.

Hmm...methinks you folks are a bit more nervous about this game than you let on.

It'll be ok.

I was just over on a Clemson board and there is some good back and forth going. But one thing I noticed is that Clemson fans are riding the back of Spiller and Davis like they are the next coming. I equate them to McFadden and Jones, and thats damn good. These Clemson fans ( and I say that as a generality on the few threads I read) think that we will have no answer for that running game. Man, it was rough over there on a few Bama fans. I guess they'll go 1 and 2 in the Heisman from what I have read....lol.
Point being here is that Alabama has faced this kind of assult before, and I mean these kids, not something 10 years ago. From what I remember, Kenny Iron and Brad Lester for AU were a tough 1-2 and we already mentioned McFadden and Jones. Oh, and there was Knoshawn Moreno and I believe Brown (#20) for UGA? Spiller and Davis are going to be rough. But Bo and Hershel they are not.

Spiller and Davis did manage to lose 4 games last year.

I think all the hype about this team is starting to get to their fan's heads.

Oh, and here was the best one. Some kid said that he was a student at Alabama, but is a big Clemson fan, and will be rooting for Clemson. He said that Lee Tiffen (3rd team SEC) is a poor kicker, and that everyone in the stands hates him. (News to me) Then a Bama poster spit out the stats on him last season and all this. And the guy said, "He is unreliable at best".

I'm glad I can't post on that board. Clemson Rivals board.

Whew. Okay, got that off my chest.

There is nothing that shows/tells me we can run the ball all over any tough foe

Any Clemson fan that thinks we will hasn't been watching us too closely the last couple seasons b/c we have had some serious issues running the football against quality defenses

The running game hasn't always been there for us...in 06 we were completely screwed once the jig was up (put 8-9 in the box)...in 07 we worked much harder on developing the passing game as a complement as opposed to the afterthought it was in 06

I expect us to have difficulty running the football against U.A.
