You know, when I was 12, my dad was friends with Wayne Davis’ father. Wayne gave me an autographed program from a 1988 game between Tampa Bay and Phoenix. He signed it and he had current TB coach and former Bama coach, Ray Perkins sign it. Ironically, Phoenix was coached by one Gene Stallings at the time and he is also featured in the program, though he didn’t sign it. That has always been one of my favorite pieces of memorabilia. Part of me selfishly hopes that record does not fall.

I was told back when the season began that if he had come out last year he would have been a top 15 pick.
