Blackledge wanted a targeting penalty on that one. And to be honest, I'm surprised they didn't throw a flag on it. Seems like every time there's a big hit people think it's a penalty.

Yeah it was clean and under the chin but just based on how it looked i am surprised that the targeting penalty-hungry refs did not throw a flag.

Some guys have been ejected or penalized for similar legal hits.

I thought he had killed him. Even I called for the stretcher. That was another play where the wind was a factor... held the ball in the air and blew it back, turned it into a cluster. State was lucky it trickled out of bounds... though with the way things went, they would have probably somehow recovered that one too.
