Honestly, LA Tech does concern me a bit. Our offense should be better, but we thought that last year too. Our D should be able to hold LA Tech in check though. It is a potential set-up game but I think we'll walk away with it.
I wouldn't guarantee losses to UT--I think they may be one of the few teams that are in a worse position than we are. They have a lot of talent, but it is very young. I can't get behind promising a loss over Arky, nor a win over WVA either. I'd probably give the win back to Bama and take Arky and/or UT.
As far as Bama, VA Tech is potential land mine to start the season but it should be pretty smooth sailing. I look at the LSU game as a push for you guys. I still have to pick you guys over us, as well. I'd say conservatively, Bama finishes no worse than 10-2 this year unless McElory just stinks it up or the O-line doesn't click with the replacements. Obviously in the SEC a lot can change but you certainly didn't draw the short stick with regards to scheduling. Unless you drop a game you shouldn't, running the table is certainly possible again. VA Tech has a knack for playing down in big games and if they do that this year, Bama will eat them alive.
