We don't see eye to eye on some of this Greg.
We had poor performances from both offensive tackles in our first two games. Now, a lot of those times it was due to the I-form. We weren't keeping TE's in for help on the ends with the pass rush. Granted, there were about half of those six sacks against WKU where AJ held onto the ball too long. But, there's the other half.
It was my feeling we'd end up going back to more of what we saw in 2008 and 2009 with our scheme. Now, with the loss of Jalston, I'm even more convinced we don't run the I form as much as we run the Ace.
When we get speed from the defensive ends and the opponents slides a sixth man into the pass rush we haven't been doing well with pass pro. It's not some secret or some original observation. Coach Saban has pointed to it a few times himself.
And that's just getting me started...
Hell, I was getting pissed yesterday when they were getting close to scoring range.
