2017 SEC ON CBS BROADCAST SCHEDULE WINDOWS ANNOUNCED, FEATURING THREE CONSECUTIVE LATE-SEASON SATURDAY DOUBLEHEADERS

2017 SEC ON CBS BROADCAST SCHEDULE WINDOWS ANNOUNCED, FEATURING THREE CONSECUTIVE LATE-SEASON SATURDAY DOUBLEHEADERS

Brad Nessler to Debut as CBS Sports’ Lead College Football Play-by-Play Announcer on Sept. 9

CBS Sports, home to college football’s highest-rated television package, the SEC ON CBS, has announced its 2017 college football schedule broadcast windows and select games. CBS will again showcase the best games from the best conference with the ā€œSEC Game of the Week.ā€ Additionally, CBS will broadcast the annual Army-Navy classic (Dec. 9) and Hyundai Sun Bowl (Dec. 29).

This year’s schedule features three consecutive Saturday SEC doubleheaders, which in addition to the two Thanksgiving weekend games, puts eight late-season games on CBS leading into the SEC Championship.

SEC ON CBS games this season include TCU at Arkansas to kick off the season on Sept. 9; last year’s SEC East Champion Florida taking on Tennessee on Sept. 16; Georgia vs. Florida in their annual rivalry game on Oct. 28 and Missouri at Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 24.

The SEC ON CBS has been the highest-rated regular-season college football package on any network for eight consecutive seasons. The 2017 SEC ON CBS schedule, the Network’s 17th consecutive season providing national coverage of Southeastern Conference football, features a total of 17 games, including the SEC Championship on Saturday, Dec. 2 (4:00 PM, ET).

Brad Nessler debuts this season as lead college football play-by-play announcer, teaming with Gary Danielson and reporter Allie LaForce. Nessler is a veteran college football announcer who returned to CBS Sports last year after previously calling college football games for the Network beginning in 1990.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY, the Network’s pre-game, halftime and post-game studio show, returns with host Adam Zucker alongside analysts Rick Neuheisel and Brian Jones.

CBS Sports’ coverage of the entire 2017 SEC on CBS football schedule will be available to stream live via CBS All Access, the CBS Television Network’s digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, with additional coverage on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app.

I hope Alabama doesn't get any of the 12 p.m ET games. Starting a game at 11 a.m. CT sucks for everybody in attendance.
The only time Bama has lost a noon kick-off game was back in 2007 when they lost to Mississippi State (and the articles that week talked of Croom being Bama's "nemesis." The Tide hasn't lost since--but they've only had that time slot five times, I believe.

You want a fan base that is upset about noon kicks? Look no further than UGA who has had that time slot close to 25 times since 2011. UK is right there with them and UofSC isn't too far behind.

I looked at this last year and as I recall Auburn and Arkansas were the highest in the SEC West...'bout 10 fewer than UGA and UK.

I absolutely use to hate 11am games......now for some odd reason I dont mind them.......
The stadium atmosphere is kinda flat....I know....and thats a bad thing....usually the opponent is a weak sister ....the temperature in September is unbearable even on the west side....o the poor people on the east side......coffee and biscuits before game time dont cut it...to early for a beer....
....ummmm...trying to remember why I dont mine the time slot..... o yea....get to go back to RV and watch the other games....

College football tradition is weird and always has been. The B1G love the early time slot and Michigan vs Ohio State wouldn't have it any other way. The south hates it and in the SEC it usually means you are playing either Vandy or Kentucky or maybe an FCS opponent. The best early game I remember watching on the Jefferson Pilot thing, with the 3 Daves, was the bluegrass miracle.
