🏈 "Catholics vs. Cousins"

Maybe I'm like Charlie Brown and "don't know sarcasm when I hear it" but classy? Looks like a typical stereotype put down of a Southern team. If he'd had Trunks instead of the hillbilly, maybe a little better. I don't like it.

From what I understand he deleted the tweet after Tide fans raised the devil over what the shirt implied. He then said "it's just a t-shirt. lol." I wonder if he would have lol-ed a t-shirt that said, "January 7, 2013. Protestants vs Pedophiles."

Yes, it is indeed intended to be sarcastic haha. Any time I use classy, it is generally dripping with sarcasm. This shirt is a piece of crap, and so is the one 0LDSCH00L mentioned .. People are idiots.

Cool. I thought from following / reading your other threads / posts that we would feel the same way. RTR

Becoming a seasoned Southern man means many things to many different people, but one thing I've learned is that the worse we are perceived in the other regions of the country means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme.
I hope all the people that hate and/or misunderstand the South either do one of two general things: come here, shut up and learn to appreciate the culture for what it is
OR
stay where you are and stay ignorant.

The worst thing for a Southern man to have to deal with, in my opinion, besides a scorned woman is a loud-mouthed, know-it-all, arrogant, wiseazz, northern urban male. The second worst?

Their matching female conterpart.

I have been known to actually run in the other direction.

rant=off...carry on and rtr.

Oh, the hypocrisy of our presumed intellectual betters. They will crow like the prophets at those who dare cross the parameters they have established for political correctness, but then laugh like hyenas fighting over a goat leg at jokes that disparage southerners and southern culture. This attitude, my friends, is the driving force behind the country's hatred of the SEC. It's not the dominance of the conference, as some would argue, it's the fact that it is the SOUTHEASTERN Conference that drives them crazy, and if there's one thing our "elites" can't stand, it's the idea of southerners succeeding at anything.

Just for the record, a lot of people up north, myself included, think it's a dopey tee shirt as well.

IMHO I think it's a weak attempt to recapture the success of the "Catholics vs. Convicts" tee shirts put out for the ND Miami games of the late 80's. They had to find a substitute for convicts, and "cousins" was the best they could do.
