Page 2 seems like miles ago. I can't even remember what was on page 27. lol. I've only been on here a couple years and it's been limited but this is the longest thread I've ever seen on here. lol
They aren't going to do a thing to him....I Bet! The NCAA and Slive stand to lose way too much money if he's suspended! I talked to my next door neighbor who is a college football coach and he said the exact same thing. Sell a jersey or attend a party and you a out for weeks! Sell your services to the highest bidder, and they won't touch you...as long as you're a good player and increase revenue and ratings! SEC office has shown its true colors! Unbelievable...

Him being suspended isn't really an issue unless he fails a drug test. The ball is in auburn's court to rule him ineligible and sit him down... it isn't the SEC's or the NCAA's decision. It is the NCAA who would give the go-ahead to reinstate him if they did rule him ineligible... which is why he will not be ruled ineligible.
Reports said, Cecil Newton met with the NCAA Saturday and ADMITTED TO SHOPPING HIS SON...That makes him Ineligible to Play! Period...So is Auburn, the Sec and the NCAA really going to turn their heads and pretend this never happened?!

I would think it makes him ineligible. If they were looking to charge MSU, I cant see him going to Auburn for free. Even if Cam had no knowledge of it. I think that would fall under a parent recieving an extra benefit.
Still as I said earlier in the thread. I dont see anything comng of this. Not now any way. In 5 years maybe.
After reading Clay Travis's article, it makes it to be pretty cut and dried. Is Slive simply letting the Barners go ahead and hang themselves or has he lost the cahones to pull the trigger himself. I guess he could be waiting on the words to simply come out of Cecil's mouth so he can hear them for himself.
anic:I think by tuesday or wednesday of next week, we will hear the news that Spam Newton will be sitting the iron bowl out. Just my gut feeling. anic:anic:
