🏈 Cam and Cecil Tape

If your other "guarantee" about auburn and the NCAA is anything like this one, then you're going to end up with an epic amount of egg on your face when the investigation concludes...

IMO a pointless statement porter. The barn nation uses every possible bit of fluff to attack Bama. I don't care if you are buddies with those two. They are still barners and regardless of what you think they hate Bama with every ounce of their being. They probably have some super-secret barner nudge-nudge-wink handshake that means "I hate Bama." I haven't met a barner in the past 20 years who doesn't fit the description I have given.

As for egg/face, etc...I am not the one running over to a rival board playing Baghdad Bob. Even if by some fluke stretch the souce is wrong (for the first time), I am here. Not on a barn forum.

To be honest, I am being nice. If I gave my full opinion of how I feel about those lying, cheating, Gene Jelks paying barners, you might use the ip ban feature on me.

By the way, I can't stand barners. My dislike borders on unhealthy. I used to not be this way, but the past 20 years of barner actions has made me like this.

I go out of my way to avoid them - part of why I came here when I did - and abandoned posting here when I did.

It is probably best if I go away again.

Roll Tide to the Bama fans.

Forget "ignore" feature. I like the "IP Ban" feature. Nothing good can come of Auburn fans spending as much time on Bama sites as dude and jag. Seriously. Open dialogue between rival fan bases is good and dandy, but those guys are like the RTB version of Baghdad Bob. I have no place for self-righteous auburn apologists who think that the barn's poo doesn't stink. I guarantee that when Alabama was under the NCAA microscope those two were shouting about smoke and fire and like 99.99% of the barner nation - crying for Bama to get the death penalty. Now every day on RTB is a lesson in barner apologetics courtesy of those two.

There is a place to defend allbarn. It is called itat. Bama fans don't visit Bama sites to read barners making excuses and glossing over their sins. I am critical of my fellow Bama fans when the need arises. The need arises to be critical of barners when they log-in to RTB.

...or when they don't....and I don't care if they like it. They can go home.

Again, I don't give a damn if you like me or my presence here. You know nothing about me and your assertions about how all Auburn fans hate Bama and we were hoping Bama got nailed blah, blah, blah is absurd. It's great that you're petty enough to act like a child over college sports, I'm not and it appears fosh isn't either. Call it what you will, I'm as free to my opinion as you are to yours. I'm free to give my opinion when someone spouts something I disagree with, just as you are free to act like a child (as silly as it may be). Threatening to ban me? Way to go, chief. It's a shame when people are too ignorant to tolerate another point of view. All your fluff and rhetoric may intimidate some, excite others--it just seems like a load of crap to me.

Have fun leaving again or whatever the hell you're going to do.

Yes, there is a lot of speculation about it. Maybe it something wrong has happened--I'm sure we will all know soon enough.

As for BCW, I'm sure that was a calculated risk. I'm sure Troop knew it was a secondary violation. I'm not horribly fond of it if that is the case.

I'm sort of hijacking this thread...but, this reminds me of something.

Wasn't it Seastruck who called out Saban that weekend of the BCW? Caught on tape, then on youtube? And, if I recall correctly, the story soon circulated about his mother making him call Saban and apologize?

If it was Seastruck, this Oregon thing........

One in the same, Terry. I somewhat lost some desire to sign him at that point. Obviously I wouldn't turn him away but hindsight and all...

At least it sounds like he has a good mother. She has also spoken out against this recruiting service that allegedly steered him.

Also, thanks for the other post. I will generally avoid the confrontation out of respect for most of the mods, among others that I've discussed here.

CHIT got real!

lol.. nothing like a good rivalry..

FWIW, i didn't know what duder and fosh were doing here in the beginning, but they are both solid posters and i have enjoyed reading their opinions..

even if they are "barners"

i actually played in a gigging band for 2 years.. we were based in auburn.. wasn't my choice. i auditioned for the part..

i played a club called finks one night when auburn was playing georgia.. it was right across the street from toomers.. the owner wanted us to start playing as soon as the game was over.. long story short, after the first set i went outside and made 1 throw in the oak trees.. just to say i did it..

if you would have picked the building up we would have been playing for a crowd of about 200k..

the guitar player and i were both die hard bama fans, but it didn't bother us.. the beer tasted the same in auburn as it did in tuscaloosa..

Duder and Foshman's welcome presence nothwithstanding, I still think that something at least moderately serious is going to come of all of this for Auburn. I remain highly suspicious of Dye and Lowder's ongoing activities and the connections with McGregor. I am also suspiscious of the extremely sudden change since Tubbie's departure in light of his supposed refusal to "play along" - and from what I hear, Bowden also refused. I think it's just a bit odd the noticable number of recruits changing commitments at the 11th hour or near it to a school that wasn't even on their radar. Lastly, and I can't put my finger on it, but there is just something about Chizik that doesn't settle with me. Something about people that are just too in-your-face with their self-righteousness and piety is a red flag to me. All too often, those are the folks with something to hide.

Regardless, if something does happen, I hope the repurcussions are fair but not too excessive. A vigorous Alabama-Auburn rivalry is good Bama and good for the SEC. Of course, I wouldn't mind getting another string of 10 in a row for us!!:lol:

I honestly have no idea what is going to happen. The death penalty talk is BS, it ain't going to happen even if we were guilty cause we aren't on any kind of probation. SMU got popped 3 times for the same violations, and lying about them, in a 5 or 6 year span. And the NCAA is on teh record as saying that they would prefer not to dole out another Death Penalty.

As for Lowder and Dye...........I'm not a fan of either of them. Unfortunately we are at Lowder's mercy as long as he controls the BOT. Hopefully he leaves soon.

As for Chizik, I hear where you are coming from but wasn't Stalling similar? I remember watching him speak at a booster function in Mobile, I was a bartender, and he probably spoke about his faith 100 times. Afterwards he came to the bar, ordered a club soda, hung out for a bit and I found him to be quite genuine. I haven't met Chizik so I can't say how genuine he is, but obviously I want to believe.

And for the record I'm going nowhere.

I dont really dis like chiz....he may be a great person and the players seem to like him. We have an ex AU player here at work and when chiz was hired and everyone was bashing him this guy was saying the players will love him and his style of coaching....

I do have a hard time listening to chiz....he doesnt seem genuine...always reminds me of used car salesmen or something.

Glad you are going to stick around also....makes for more interesting discussions

Wait, we have Auburn fans on the forum? Crap! :panic:

We all have good fans and bad fans. To have a hate for an entire fan base because of one or a few people you met is not healthy at all. I've been embarassed by some Bama fans, and I've been shocked at what I've seen other schools fans do.

As for the investigation, Cam, whatever- I live in Atlanta and it just isnt in my face everyday and I avoid sports talk radio like the plague because they just poke the fire. If something goes down I'm sure ESPN or the news will let me know when it does. Whats done is done and no amount of speculating or drooling over it can fix it or make it happen faster.

It's that dang leather jacket. I don't like him but only because he's Auburn's coach. I do think he "allows" some shady activities, but I also know he's not running the show over in Lee County.

You are correct Delta. He isn't the Boss man. I spoke with a Barner Friday that I happen to be good friends with and he said as much himself. I made short talk of how it's hard to enjoy winning it all with the uglyness going on. He responded " I know. When we got into trouble with the NCAA before, Pat Dye, Bobby Lowder, and Milton McGregor were involved. Bowden figured it out and he was shown the door. Tuberville tried to keep them at bay. It worked for a while and then he got lazy after Jetgate. Now, the NCAA is snooping around and once again, who has their hands in the pot; Pat Dye, Bobby Lowder, and Milton McGregor." He seems greatly concerned with the Walt Williams guy in Arkansas. He said that there is a "strong connection" between he and Pat Dye. This guy is connected with Michael Dyer, Dakota Mosely, and Khiel Frazier that have all signed with the Barn in the past 2 years. Now, my friend isn't a "connected" person with the program but he doesn't lie either. He is a level headed individual that seems to be looking through "clear glasses" and not "Barner" ones.
