Auburn has denied since October that they paid, or offered, money to Cecil. Why respond to this latest round of accusations? Every time they've made a statement someone twisted it into a veiled admission of guilt. The NCAA investigated our recruitment of Cam and have heard "some or or most of these tapes". If what has been posted online is the only recording I don't see anyone happening to any involved based on these recordings. For one thing, you can't hear much. I'm curious how it proves Cam knew.

Cecil is a known liar. You don't honestly think it is too low a move, for someone who tried to sell their son, to lie about what he was told in order to get more money? Please.

If there is actual proof that State continued recruiting Cam after they knew about this, it gets way worse for them.

To me, and many of the beat writers that have weighed in, this sounds like a ploy for ratings. New show, new market, etc. Could I be wrong? Sure. Perhaps next week we all hear tapes with somewhat clear audio that vilify all involved. What has currently been posted will not accomplish anything.

At least one sponsor has pulled back because of this stuff, by the way. Redstone Credit Union pulled their ads in response to the negative backlash.

There is no doubt that Auburn's recruitment is suspect right now. But, this is just the beginning. Who knows where this investigation goes...but, you have to admit, Trooper's involvement in the LA recruiting was against the rules. He was sanctioned for Big Cat weekend.

Isn't Brown, or whoever the hell he is clearly an Auburn hater? I mean if Scarbinsky is not to be trusted because you guys think he shows a bias towards Auburn, clearly you can see that this jackass has a huge bias towards Alabama, he's even said as much.

As for the tapes, unless the person on the tapes is Cam or someone at Auburn, this is a moot point because there is nothing remotely smoking about this gun.

People are suspicious of Auburn's recruiting practices. Last year it was Tennessee, the year before that it was Ole Miss. It's also happened to Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, and on and on and on. People are also equally suspicious of Alabama's medical hardships and grayshirting practices. It comes with the territory in the SEC.

And correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the Big Cat weekend considered a secondary violation? How many SEC coaches, that are big time recruiters, aren't guilty of secondary violations?

Whether there is impropriety at Auburn or not, am I the only one that believes 11 of the 12 SEC schools employ the same practices routinely? It really is a conference of glass houses.

You don't know that they haven't found it. With big-time college football, the NCAA has shown themselves to be extremely slow in their investigations. Just because YOU don't know about it, doesn't mean other people don't know about it.

You're welcome to use the ignore feature if you'd like. Until you show proof instead of "I heard people in the know say" crap all you have is rumor and conjecture. Similar to the FBI investigation into the REC that made the rounds the last few years--still waiting on that to break. Yes, there is a lot of speculation about it. Maybe it something wrong has happened--I'm sure we will all know soon enough.

As for BCW, I'm sure that was a calculated risk. I'm sure Troop knew it was a secondary violation. I'm not horribly fond of it if that is the case.
