Great video! Man old Joe was a great coach! The best thing I remember was he was talking about Prince and said "He's about one biscut away from being a D-line men". LMAO!!!

Does anyone remember the video with Kines when I believe they were starting back practice for the Oklahoma State Game? There must have been forty quotes that made me laugh, especially the ones about his wife. Now that I think about it I have no idea how I can remember that.

Those were the best post-practice interviews in the history of post-practice interviews.

Here is just a sample of some of his stuff that I saved from his days at BAMA...

"It's like driving a dynamite truck out of the Chicago fire, there's not a lot of room for error."
-Talking about preparing for Florida's offense.

"We have to bring our whole toolbox, you can't fix a Mercedes with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver, you've got to have a whole toolbox, so we've got to bring our whole toolbox."
-Talking about preparing for Florida's offense.

"Ma'am, a hot shower and a cup of coffee is about all I got. I don't get too excited about much."
-When asked by a female reporter if he gets excited about playing high ranked teams like Florida.

"He’s a well-coached youngster. He wants to please, wants to do right, and God made him fast. You can teach them a lot of things, but you can’t teach them to run real fast. He can run real fast, and he doesn’t mind running fast."
-Talking about Erik Anders

"He's about one ankle turn away from playing... he is a tough ol' boy... he could knock that building down." (motioning toward the university's football complex)
-Talking about Matt Collins.

“They don’t know, 'Come here!,’ from, 'Sick ’em!,’ yet. We’ll get that straightened out."
-Talking about the younger players not knowing their assignments.

"It's just like making a cake. You put different ingredients in there, it's going to taste different. So we tried to put some different ingredients in there and see what it tasted like. Some of it was good, some of it you had to spit out."
-Talking about finding the right mix of guys to play.

“Anybody can line up onside. You might not can play, but you can do that right."
-Talking about dumb penalties.

"That's 1952-good ball."
-Describing BAMA's 31-3 win over Florida.

"You gotta be proud for Coach Shula today. You gotta be proud for the state of Alabama. You gotta be proud.. you guys gotta be proud. Be proud of yourselves! You wrote great stuff this week. Be proud!"
-Comments to the media following BAMA's 31-3 win over Florida.

"This group is like we've been vaccinated. That stuff don't bother us no more. You know, you can only get cussed so much. It's like my wife. I don't even hear her anymore"
-Talking about the resiliency of the team heading into the bowl game.

"We had a nice little practice... We don't know who we're playing or what we're playing, so it's just football 1952, and that wasn't a bad year, I don't think."
-Kines as interim coach talking after the first bowl practice.

The 1952 comments intrigued me when I heard them. It's somewhat ironic. Coach Drew had a 10 win season in '52 sandwiched between two seasons that we were @ the .500 mark. Then, considering those comments after '06 season was completed...

Did we give up on this? We skipped a whole week. lol. 60 days left now. The only person I can think of right off the bat is Junior, Scott Deaton. Can't find a pic though. Any more ideas?
