Buzz knows they had the 262nd ranked non-con schedule this year. Only 98 schools has a worse schedule out of 350. It matters.

They should have been in over Michigan if you ask me. Who did Michigan really beat? Purdue and Ohio State appear to be their only ranked wins. A first round conference tournament exit as well. Seven less wins and one more loss.

They bring up the eight losses, but look who they played. They also went on to win seven in a row after that and made a big dent in their conference tournament. The season isn't eight games long. They beat our ass at our place on top of that,

The committee doesn't value a tournament run any more than they do what happens in the regular season. A lot of losses in a row, a lot of wins in a row, and they were left with things like who did those wins come against? Non-con SOS sucks.

They don't fit the criteria. They're emphasizing things that the committee has shown really don't matter as much as they used to matter. It's not about 20 wins anymore and they don't give tournament runs a lot of credit. They got their bubble popped and left us watching a cryin' Buzz.

I can understand some of his points. Heck if you are just looking at who is playing better ball right now A&M or Bama it is easy to see. However it appears to be broader than that so to me his teams problem was OOC schedule and losing 8 games in a row. That is not subjective it happened.

I'm taking A&M over Michigan every day of the week though. Michigan still didn't perform well against competition, so strength of schedule to me doesn't hold any water when they lost to all the good teams. It's a shame they don't value the tournaments anymore because I want to see who is good when their backs are against the wall. To me, if we don't beat Gonzaga, we don't make the tournament.

This is likely what saved our bacon. Really the OOC record and against the teams we beat. Unfortunately that is old news and will have little impact on the results in the tournament. Who is playing best right now will determine that and it is certainly not Bama.

Agree 100%. It felt terrible not even making it to what I'm calling the second day of the SEC Tournament.

Heard earlier on the radio that 8 of his wins were Quad 4, the worst of the worst and the schedule really wasn’t anything to write home about. They didn’t play well for 2/3’s of the season either. Meanwhile, as schizophrenic as our own team was, we played the toughest schedule in America and had only 1 Quad 4 game! Best to schedule tougher and take your lumps or go easy and then have to depend on others to get you in the tourney.
