I think it is more critical for BY because CJ has the media momentum going into the last two games. Like it or not when certain personalities start promoting a particular player it influences voters. BY may have to show out so much even those personalities cannot deny it. Seems like they have been looking to find someone else all year anyway.

Of course I would hate it for BY but I will trade all of it for a W this weekend and next. First things first drill the Barn.

I will say, Mike Farrel at Rivals has Young 1A and Stroud 1B. He thinks Young deserves it at the moment. Surprised me, even though I think there is a clear cut difference.

B Young has a chance to shine today and he’s laying an egg so far. 4-10 for 60 through 20 minutes. He’s got to step it up. Stroud threw for 400 even in the loss. And no INTs, so I wouldn’t say he killed his chances.

Stroud was garbage in the first half and only accumulated stats in the second half after he was forced to throw so much.

Agree. But his stats are still there. And better than B Young’s stats in the first half. Stroud had 175 yards at halftime. Bryce isn’t going to be there. Against a weaker opponent.

He had a terrible game, but that drive to tie it and that Overtime performance may have put him over the top. Stroud couldn't bring his team back, Bryce did.

When it mattered, Stroud didn't get it done. Bryce did. With 1:12 left, he drove 97 yards to tie the game then did what was needed to win it. Next week will determine if Bryce wins it or not.

Both guys tried to back out of the race today. Stroud wasn’t awful, he can’t help his D gave up 42. He had some bad throws. Bryce has more than his share of bad throws and decisions. Just an ugly day of football. But neither guy played the part today. 10 points in 4 quarters against the Barn was flat out pitiful, final drive or not. It was a brutal performance. USCs QB threw 3 TDs last week. 2 ugly games but I’m sure the media will continue with the Stroud campaign.

Don’t think Bruce tried to back out of it as much as the o-line couldn’t protect him. He did have a few plays where he held the ball too long, but bottom line is he got it done when it counted and Stroud didn’t

Ballots go out Monday and voting ends on the next Monday. There is nothing that says you have to wait until after the championships to vote.

On paper BY is not playing against a team as good as CJ is (perceptions). If CJ lights up UM (which I think he will) then he gets a boost. Also it is the Barn so no way a win over them would help Bama.
