I don't agree with the correlation—"circumstantial timing" is about the only phrase I can come up with.

Saban pulled the leaders of the team together right around the same time and had each and every one have a face to face with five other team members...the team started pulling together as a whole at that point in the season. (He mentioned this again last night during his radio show if you want to hear him discuss it.)

It just so happened that Kelly was hurt during the same period. Just last night Saban made a comment that he felt Lindsey was very capable if needed.

Having a plethora of receivers that are great helps him get the ball out earlier too lol
