I'd have to look so this is a guess. I suspect the average in the B1G is about 3.5MM. However, that's skewed by the 9MM Harbaugh is getting. I saw Ash was getting 2.3MM.

I'll admit there are some strange salaries in the B1G. Lovie at 4MM from Indy. Ferentz has a contract that's never been easily understood.

I'm considering two other things as well. One, 9MM buyout and two, the school is already operating in the red.

In the end, I'd put Rutgers on par with Maryland. Locks is getting 2.5 I believe.

There was a time when 4 million a year was a lot of money. Schiano must be in pretty good shape in the ole checkbook. Hard to understand why anybody would offer a 8 year contract this day and time (even at Rutgers)
