🏈 Bowman

i didn't really see anyone other than the team that stepped on the field last night.. i think the game turned into a war the had little place for inexperience.. i'm sure we will see him, but i expect to see norwood frst. he has recieved most of the praise from the new recievers group. i think bowman is going to be great.. i can't wait to see him light up the scoreboard.

Agreed on Norwood.

Only one true freshman played last night—Trent at the end of the game.

While I agree that Norwood has been getting the public praise, I've been hearing since fall camp started that Bowman is a beast and should make an impact this season even more so than Norwood. I have a buddy that has been at every practice since fall camp started and he says Bowman is the show out. (Side note: He also said that the stats released by UA regarding our fall scrimmages did not always give accurate numbers. IE: Bowman had no catches listed in the last one and he could remember 2 specifically that Bowman made.) He was surprised that we didn't see Bowman last night and in all honesty, I was too.

woodson made an awesome tackle on the opening kickoff.. it was a rashad johnson style play.. taking the perfect angle, going full speed, and laying out for the stop.. a high percentage of players would not have made the stop..

a little off subject, but did ya'll catch barron's hit.. he leveled one guy on the line of scrimmage.. i really like him for some reason..

Barron put some wood on one of VT's runningbacks. He also got sucked into the middle on a running play that bounced outside and went 30+ yards for a touchdown late in the game.

He's still got some growing to do, but he's going to be a head hunter before he leaves.

speaking of the secondary i was hoping to see kirkpatrick... being that i am from gadsden, i am excitied about him and harris both.. maybe next week will give the young players a chance to show their stuff.. alot of exciting names to watch

those were good days.. with the exception of a slow start gene stallings first year bama played some good ball from the late 80's all the way through the 90's.. i have the feeling that this team will set a new standard.. football has changed alot in the last decade and bama is just now catching up..

I was really hoping to see Kirkpatrick get on the field. I don't wanna name any names, but we have a liability in the secondary...and I'm hoping that Dre can overcome his lack of experience and get on the field as a nickel back.

Richardson looked strong, and it looks like he'll certainly be used some this year.

Rod Woodson is going to be a stud on ST this year...he's a damn good tackler.

We have so many True Frosh that could play right now...but it's nice that we don't HAVE to put them on the field if we don't want to. Where in years past we would have been relying heavily on them.
