Way to go Colorado State on an amazing comeback in the New Mexico Bowl versus Wazzou!!! Down 35-13 at one point, Rams rallied to win it 48-45 on a last second FG, after scoring 18 points in the last 3 minutes.

Usually, if UH isn't playing there, then the home fans stay away. I think this would normally bother the teams, but they're in Hawaii. I think they're okay. Pretty nice vacation/reward for a mediocre season.

Lou Holtz's sharp eye and blatant honesty got my attention. Do you remember when the BSu QB went for it on 4th and a yard and missed? He actually called that spot correctly. Good eyesight, poor common sense. He was right on both of those.

Wow, didn't know we had a bowl thread up. Yeah. sucks Fresno State couldn't pull off an upset over fUSC. Gotta deal with USC fans saying "oh we're getting close to 'Bama's winning bowl record now" :shake:

Nice to see Oregon State pound the smurf turfs also. Maybe they will finally go back to being someones annual homecoming game.

Once again the New Orleans Bowl and the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns didn't disappoint, making it a three-peat in this Bowl with another spirited game that was anchored by an exciting 4th quarter. And helmets off to the spirited Cajun nation who helped bolster the attendance to 60,000. Always a great bowl IMO.

And while the New Mexico Bowl lacked the throughout back'n forth competitiveness of the New Orleans Bowl, there's no discounting the 4th quarter that final five incredible history making minutes. Go Rams!! Yeah baby!

Other than the New Orleans and New Mexico bowls, the other bowls have been meh IMO. USC surprised and Boise did little broncoing in two lopside encounters. I did miss the Beef O'Brady Bowl cuz of shopping and negligence in setting the DVR. How was it?

I'm trying to watch these pre-New Year's Eve bowls, but bowls like the Tampax Poison Ivy Bowl and the McDonald's Happy Meal Bowl...Just can't stay that focused on them. All these early bowl games do is a) celebrate mediocrity, b)give these middling teams extra practice (though sometimes it's hard to tell...), c) allows companies to dish out a lot of money to tag their names to sucky bowl games...because it's important for us to remember the greatness of their product while we're staring at the tv, and d) celebrate mediocrity (oh, yeah).

Start betting money on them...it'll grab, and keep, your focus. :icon_twisted:

If may add "e)"...

e) these bowl games expose mediocrity. See the hashtag #MACtion who, as a conference, 0-4 at this point.

A "d)" perhaps?

d) here we are with yet another reason the Hypeman trophy foundation needs to change its rules and place the voting process after the bowl games. See Jordan Lynch.

I've yet to watch any bowl games. Surprised but they're just not that interesting right now. I watched every single one last year.

The only game I'm planning on watching is the Sugar Bowl. Well I will be watching the Outback Bowl. Not, because of the two teams, but because of the high school bands playing at halftime. I just hope that I will be able to see the halftime show.

So Michigan State's team captain LB Max Bullough is suspended for the Rose Bowl game. Hmm, how much did this game just change...

Currently the great majority of the Bowls are little more than ESPN TV studios.
