🏀 Big12 announces they'll use the ASB Glassfloor for their tournament

I'm leery. In my viewers opinion there are several floors that are distracting when watching a basketball game. What's someone going to think of?

However, the benefits of having something like this? Two million for a system like this in the practice facility would be sweet!

If you pay $2 million for this you want people to see it, not just the players, coaches and managers.

I could see that turning into advertising billboards really quick, gotta make that NIL money somehow.

Look at the product and get back to me.

Oh, they will. Immediately.

At the convention where this flooring system was introducted the "mimic" was an NBA arena. Their selling points were advertising; multiple ads in fact. (IE: Arkansas could rotate Tyson and W+)

On the other hand I like the idea of seeing courts where you don't have the volleyball lines, along with a different three point arc for the women, then the men's ... gets messy, visually, ya know? VB doesn't apply at UA, but the WBB v MBB would. I don't know if it could improve meets but it seems like it could improve the 'aesthetics' for GymTide and other gymnastic programs.

I've seen several games on while grabbing a bite that used a gray floor, making the screen look like everything was a black and white TV except the players. Is that this type of floor, or are there traditional floors that are that color gray?

Those are what I'd call modern-day traditional. It's not an LED based system like these are.

There's a MWC team that uses a gray floor with their logo taking up half of the court it seems. Colorado team, I want to say. And yes, it's a horrible way to watch a ball game.

@OldPlayer a bit more on this system. You may be aware of how Oats uses a spot and marking system in the practice facilities now. It would only served to enhance his coaching style.
