🏈 Best Bama Player Ever

LeRoy Jordan played LB at 206 lbs. He was a devestating tackler, great lateral quickness. Bryant designed his defense to keep Jordan free to rome. LeRoy had uncanny instincts about where the ball was going, was agile enough that he was difficult to block. He was one of my favorites, but for many years he was the measuring stick for all Alabama linebackers.

I would have to go with Don Hutson too, he was an amazing talent during his time the greatest receiver. I also like Harry Gilmer too.

For the sheer impact on his team, Gilmer deserves consideration. He passed for more TD's than Scott Hunter or Jay Barker, trails only Javy in punt returns, led his teams for all four years in passing and two in rushing, all-time Bama record holder for KO return average. When he was on, he was unstoppable (6 rushes for 216 yards and 2 TDs against Kentucky, 3 punt returns for 122 yards against Georgia, and a 92 yard punt return and 95 yard KO return against LSU). His 16 career INT are impressive and eight in one season trails only Hootie Ingram. Sixth all-time in total offense.

Tim
