Seeing where Ben has asked for his release. It is a shame that for whatever reason, the light never turned on for him. I was excited when he signed to continue his Dad's legacy. Best of luck wherever he lands.

The highlight of Ben's Bama days would be his NSD 15 minutes of fame deal. There were numerous schools wrong about Ben and his potential other than just Nick and staff.

I can’t imagine why leaving Alabama when you’re a linebacker and possibly work out better for you.

I consider Alabama to be a haven for good linebackers. Always has been.

Oh, and just FYI I was told the other day that Diggs would only be out a "few weeks" and was then directed to a post from Boz on SECrant where he was making these claims as if he knew it as a fact... like 2 hours later Saban announced that he was done for the season...

Wasn't Terry expecting Diggs to be back as well?! For some reason I was he would.... I'll have to text Saban

I think most people were expecting him back, just based on Mack breaking his foot last year and then coming back, but I'm not talking about someone saying "I think he'll be back." I'm talking about someone stating as FACT, "he'll be back in a few weeks." That's always been my problem with him (and people like him).

Fair enough. I shouldn't have attirbuted it to Terry without sourcing but for some reason convinced myself he was gonna be aight... Usually that means TP gave me some knowledge.

On the other hand I'll look at it this way - Could be one of those injuries that helps us win a championship NEXT season. If he was to keep improving and peaked at the end of the season, he could have been a draftee.

I still think the Hightower & Barron injuries played a big part in future titles. As well as other injuries over the years. Sucks for the kids but you hope there's a silver lining... Inlcuding a guy like S. Smith now getting a chance to be a stud!

I posted that Monday if I'm not mistaken. I know it was Monday when I was talking with a friend about Lewis and at that point Diggs was expected to be back. It's my understanding it's not a definite "out for the season" but it's more of a "I doubt it." I don't know the specifics of the injury. I took it as one where the rehab isn't a definite. IE: It's a eight week rehab situation.

Davis is not the next coming of his Dad, that's pretty clear at this point. Right now, it would make me happy if he was the next coming of Jerrell Harris or Tana Patrick.
