I have thought we were going to lose EVERY SEC game we have played in the week heading up to the game.

Last night I thought it was finally coming true.

Luckily it did not.

May my winless streak, and Alabama's WINNING streak BOTH continue at exactly the same rate!

Roll Tide!

Thank you Alabama. Thank you Coach Saban.

Wow, that is a bleak outlook:>) :halo:

I was hoping or offense had got better over the off week......I have a sinking feeling this year's SECCG is going to look a lot like last year if our playcalling doesn't improve. Going something like this: We can't move the ball well, our defense stays on the field too long, eventually wears down, Tebows runs it down our throat to seal the game away, and they win a close one. Everyone finally stops blindly sayng, a win is a win.

Although any win is good in the SEC, I don't want to mearly win. I want us to perform at the highest level possible for our team. Coaches included. We are capable of much higher level of performance than what we are seeing. :a:

Talk about bleak...yours is WAY more bleak than mine. :nana:

I just said that I usually think we are going to lose, but we don't....and I hope that continues! :td:

You don't think they got better ?

G-Mac was 19/34 276 yds 2 TD's 1INT
Passed it to 6 different WR's. And changed field position many times in the game.
We had 176 yrds rushing for a total of 452 yards.

That was against a "Good D". I think the offense got beter in the off week myself. :td:

Geez - you're both a couple of Debbie Downers and a half!!! How about a little PMA for the love of Pete!! I thought we made substantial improvements this week. Also keep in mind that we are taking EVERYBODY's best shot every week.

This season to me has '92 written all over it. We're doing just fine and we will continue to improve each week.

+1
GMac is not supposed to be the one to carry the team. Manage the game, protect the ball, get the ball into the hands of all those 5-Star Athletes CNS recruited, and help here-and-there. ^^^Where is all this not taken care of in these numbers?

Also, remember that Florida didn't score all day on them either.

Well, you know I was nervous the entire time. I literally felt sick the 1st half (mainly 2nd Q). The int right before half literally made me nauseous. What a blown opportunity. I really didn't even want to go to half then. It truly was the longest halftime I had experienced.

I wanted to get right back out there and try again. That, or just get the whole nightmare over with. I'm not sure which one I believed at the time.

As the halftime show concluded I looked around and literally saw the longest faces I had seen in a long time. I was pretty much right there with everyone else. It was hard to smile about anything. Funny how I had to force myself to be polite and cordial to everyone and act like I would at any other time and place (yeah, really silly!).

Anyway, after all that I remembered we get the ball 2nd half. I turned to my Bryant-Denny neighbor and stated that as bad as the team played 1st half we take this ball and score a TD then we're back up. That one little thought lifted my spirits tremendously.

I thought the 2nd half would be ours once we scored the TD. I don't know why I didn't give LSU more credit. Best I remember (and I've yet to watch the replay) the 3rd Q belonged to them. Once Julio scored I felt like the D wouldn't allow LSU to come back. 6 point lead is dicey though, and there were some huge plays in there (and no, not the call). The 4th Q belonged to Alabama, but I'll be honest I never was 100% comfortable until that 4th down int by Robby Green.

I think the whole Tennessee debacle may have scarred me for some time. I knew LSU still had a chance, but even if they scored a TD the odds of Alabama missing another onside kick were probably slim. All that to say I don't know that I'll ever feel comfortable in SEC games. I feel like the pressure on the team has been tremendous this year, and every SEC team has Alabama on their target.

Oh, and just in case you're wondering I'm already nervous about State. I think I'm going to take a few days off from football and try to enjoy the LSU win. I did that last week, and it worked wonders for my heart and my stomach.
