Two thoughts.

I wonder why SDS chose to use the AP poll considering how many years it has been since it was used in the BCS formula.

Secondly, this line: "It’s still too early to know who will reach this year’s playoff, but at least we’re beginning to understand how the selection committee thinks."

Errr, no. Jeff Long confused everyone this week when he talks about the eye test and then what a team—as a whole—has accomplished. The later used to explain why Oregon is at #4, the former why Bama is above TCU.
