Tune in to the Tide

Roll Tide!!!! I know it is early and we ultimately do not know what St. Johns is going to be but you have to think they are good. To hang 103 on them and get a win in Madison Square Gardens is impressive. I just can't see anyone stopping these guards. Turnovers were reasonable. Was great to see Wrightsell come back after limping off the court. My only beef was Playing D w/o fouling.

That was game 1 of a tough ass 4 game stretch, and Bama starts it off 1-0. To give an idea how tough the 4 game stretch is, earlier this week KenPom had Bama losing all 4 of them. Maybe UA ends up going 1-3 now, but IMO there are not too many teams in the country better than this Tide suad right now.

A couple of things that stood out today...

Bama only committed 7 turnovers. Amari Allen was +19. Wrightsell was +17. UA scored at least 50 in both halves, against a Pitino team... how often does that happen?

Roll Tide!

They may indeed go 1-3 as this is only one game especially with that schedule but doubt they will. I will also say this, these Bama guards can handle any run the other team sends their way because they can match it. I know other teams will adjust but if felt like they could get downhill whenever they wanted and should be the case in most games. Another exciting thing about this game is they will get better as the freshmen get more experience.

Taking their 2nd half punch without flinching was top drawer. That tells me this team has a great season ahead of it. We looked much faster on offense and defense moved well. Hit a little wall scoring and allowed them back in it, but any top tier team is gonna push you at some point. Great win.
