Should have been… We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. At least they didn’t cover.

On a side note, UT has owned us head to head for the last year in at least the major sports. Football, basketball, men’s and women’s, and baseball and softball. We’ve got to shift the bragging rights back in our favor.

Man that was tough to see. Up two scores with 30 seconds and lose by 3. Pathetic inbound 5 sec and then not getting someone defending the guy bringing the ball up. I get not wanting to foul but really that is what you call. This was the best the D has played and they wasted it with that pathetic last 30 seconds.

Alabama was 12-29 on layups today. Cliff missed the easiest freaking baskets that all he had to do was dunk it. Instead every big we have tries to do ridiculously difficult layups.

The D played well but still resorted back to awful D in crucial spurts of the game. I hate this drop D scheme so much too. You're allowing talented players to find a sweet spot and shoot high percentage jump shots a few feet from the basket. All it does is build their confidence and then you have a random player popping off on us, which has literally happened all season.

With all the reviews and stoppage of play - I agree. However there are certain times you need to call a TO to stop the momentum and get your team to reset. He's had some games where we really needed him to utilize them and it cost us (S16 vs San Diego State).

I know, and agree. It's one of his blind spots. But the stoppages are sucking the life out of me week after week.

Lost that game in the final seconds of both halves. Last second and-one before the first half; buzzer beater at the end of regulation.

Horrific free throw shooting.
Not blocking out on defensive free throws.
Philon did not need the ball in his hands at the end of regulation.
Nelson rebounds well but can’t guard one on one and commits stupid fouls.
Holloway plays terrible defense and commits stupid fouls.
Where was Cliff? Youngblood?
Stevenson needs to get much stronger.

Pretty spot on. I can't remember but was Mo in the lineup on the missed FT that resulted in Stevenson getting called for a foul? Questionable decision if he wasn't, considering his success on missed FTs.

I just hope the team responds well to this. So many times in the past before Oats, Alabama would play a really great game like this and lose, but it would greatly affect their mentality in the next games and they'd lose. You have to put it behind you and get ready to win the next one. Can't take off either because Florida is really good. Golden is one of the best young coaches in the game right now and understands matchups better than anyone.
