🏀 🏀 Alabama vs. Duke in Elite Eight: Blue Devils end Bama's run with 85-65 victory

If you're into the team and this game against Duke, I'd suggest watching the Oats press conference posted above. Skip through the players stuff and just listen to the Oats part (which starts about 9 minutes in). He gives good insight on several things... the overview of how they'll defend Flagg... how teams can take away Bama's 3 point shooting and that's ok... you can tell how much work he's done on Duke with how he answers questions about their roster and style of play... In all, I get the feeling Oats knows Duke is gonna be a war, but he likes where Bama is at right now... and he's got some pretty damn good players too.

"Do you feel you are on equal footing with the football program/players?"

Oats: Yawns.

Yeah that was a very good press conference. Was surprised at how long it was but he hit on a lot of things. He does know Duke is the real deal. I am sure Duke will not give Bama the 3 point shot not after the BYU game. Hope his game plan is sound and the team executes it at a high level. Found it interesting how he talked about Stevenson being an x factor. He drops little nuggets like this at times that is fortelling of what he is seeing in practice. Would be great to see Nelson and Stevenson go off for 20+ both. They are capable of it...

The biggest thing I took from the presser was the number of possessions (surprising question considering who it came from.) I think it was 240 something versus #1?

Our tournament experience could work to our advantage tonight. In what world are we in where our guys have more experience than Duke? Especially in deep tournament action. Somebody pinch me!

Heck. The last couple of months in sec schedule should have them prepared for this....
Including....beating #1 overall seed on their home court...

Just keep playing teams with no home state in name....

Been dropping a few hints, but we definitely need to be prepared for the refs to blow the whistle on us if we come within 90 ft of a Duke player. Hoping that’s not the case, but they do seem to get the “LeBron” treatment in officiating. 😁

There are guys in starting lineup that's capable of winning games, but it's lot easier to create pressure on Flagg to deliver ... If you shut out Flagg and other guys showingup.. it didn't work. But if you shut down at least two or three guys... It's harder for Flagg to deliver... So anyone who says we have to shut down Flagg only... Nah, they don't know the game well.

A smart team will rotate their guys on Flagg. You want to beat Duke? Don't be so focused on Flagg. Take away his options. Make him win the game by himself if he has to.

Ehhh, I'm not putting the game in the McDonald's All-American, First Team All-American, And consensus #1 NBA picks hands. Dude will carve our asses up like he has everyone else. Make someone else win the game that hasn't carried the load, then you don't know what kind of response you'll get from them. Flagg, he's gonna get his stats.

So don't shut down the guy that has been their bedrock all year???
