| MBB/WBB 🏀 2024-25 Season- {NCAA / SEC Games of the Week} 🏀

UCF opened the season with a win over A&M. They've lost to LSU (neutral, dropped 102 on them) and Wisconsin.

It's on ESPN+. Top ten Kansas is on the road in Orlando tonight versus UCF. KU -5.5 4 ET.

Bet that's a ball game.

Tempted to bet, but got smashed by taking Auburn TT Over and Alabama/Oklahoma TT Under. Played great defense first half and then let them score a ton in the second, and we just scored a ton.

Kentucky going down at UGA
Asa Newell played like a lottery pick. Georgia is probably going to be a pain in the ass this season, but I doubt they contend for the SEC Regular season.

Florida is going to be the toughest team outside of auburn and us IMO. Golden runs an elite system that gave us fits last season. Their bench isn't as deep though.

Texas might be looking for a new HC at the end of this season. He's been good since taking over as interim, but his offense is so painful to watch. Don't think it's best suited for March.

We're also seeing why auburn is so dangerous. Really good in transition and their defense travels. Just waiting for their offense to fall off. Right now shooting 50% from the floor too.

As good as their D is, I think our tempo can cause them a lot of issues. They're really going to try to pressure us way off the perimeter, but I think it'll open up more opportunities underneath the basketball. Sears showcased his ability to get blow bys vs OU, which is something he was great at last season.

But it's going to be a war. Guys like Reid, Mo, Nelson, and Stevenson are going to have to step up big from the wing.

Bama will have to protect the ball which as you know has been a problem at times.

They spent some coin on it, and I know it's built for mixed use, but the Longhorn Basketball facility just looks pretty shitty on TV. Way too much aluminum and railings for one thing. Like bleachers at an indoor rodeo. And it looks like you could drive a 26' UHaul onto the court from the corner.

AU pulling out the road win yesterday leaves the Longhorns at 0-2 in conference. Tomorrow is the second Thursday of January, second week of the conference season, and TX can kiss the "bye's" in the SECT ... well, bye.

TX has UT at home Saturday. Then on the road to OU and UF. Five straight losses to start their first season in SECBB? Looks likely.
