šŸˆ Baseball Stadium upgrade in the works...

It is about time they put time, money, and effort into our baseball team. I understand football is the machine that brings in the money for UA, but they could've at least out baseball on par with basketball and volleyball. This sure wont hurt recruiting.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing yesterday... Several different ways they could make that look unique, and really, really cool.

I was hoping you'd stop in tonight but not to agree with my idea! :icon_rolleyes:

Back on page two, that area uagrad and I were talking about beside the Sigma Chi house...what are they doing with that area?

A random thought, or two, three...

Around the 'net I've seen groups complaining about not tearing "The Joe" down completely. My first thought is "you don't even know what they are planning on doing and you're complaining already?!?" But, then again, it IS our fan base.

Here's what strikes me the most. OK, I realize it's been stated we might spend as much as 30MM on the renovations and LSU (as example) spent 38MM for a brand new facility. Yet, what I don't see mentioned—and evidently not considered—is if we are spending that much on renovations as compared to what it cost for a new facility how extensive, and by extension nice, will those renovations end up being?

As to putting the facility in left field serving as the fence. I'd do that, as stated, and would love to see premium seating on top of the complex. (think Wrigley.) When I was a student and with the Grandslammers we were always outside of the right field fence for games. Why not make that area for the booster club? Here in town, there's an area they rent out for game-day party's. (Think The Zone in BDS)

I know people are going to complain about ribbon boards being put up—again. Yet, so many who complain about the ribbon boards are some of the first to brag about the revenue the athletic department is bringing in...can't have it both ways.

One thing I pray they remove? The aluminum seating!

One thing I pray they add? Covered seating. Friday night isn't so bad. But, afternoon games on Saturday and Sunday? Whew. You think the east side of BDS gets hot in September? The Joe is that much worse...especially in a pitcher's dual.

When I attended baseball games the vast majority of the time I've spent outside the fence. Beer and baseball just seemed ordained. Those who attend the games and actually sit in the seats they've paid for have complained about the difficulty in getting refreshments.

They actually ran out of refreshments and food at one game.

That's really not as uncommon as you might think.

2005, Bama visiting UofSC in Columbia, there were two levels on the east side (concourses) where they ran out of drinks—cola and water—early in the third quarter. I found that quite frustrating with a half of a sleeve left.

I've heard several relate stories of the same type of thing happening at BDS. The difference in Columbia was it was the entire east side.

I couldn't see the picture from my phone... I guess it's another frat house... honestly, I'm not sure.
