Final midweek game for Bama against a tough Troy squad at their place. Bama is undefeated during midweek games this season, which is mostly just an interesting footnote... but a win tonight over Troy would serve them well. Even with it, they'll have work to do to claim a regional, but that's a bridge to cross later. Better to cross it with another Quad 1 win though. Looks like JT Blackwood will get the start for Bama...

Looking forward to listening to this one. Jumping over into something you said in the SEC thread.

This week, Bama will play at #19 Troy to close out their midweek games. It'll be an opportunity for a Quad 1 win and at this point, every positive data point well help, especially if Bama ends up with just 16 league wins.

This is a good week of baseball. A W tonight, and if they can grab 2 of 3 against UGA this weekend? There's three Q1's.

Yep, all remaining 7 games will be Quad 1's... good opportunity if they make the most of them. Easier said than done, but still...

I know UF is hot right now. It my thought that taking the series against UGA (considering ranking) will go a lot farther than a series win over UF (looking at hosting.)

I find it ironic a lot of this is based on the same concept of seedings and wins with basketball: IE: Q1 wins. I do think there is a difference this season.

While a run in the SEC basketball tourney really wouldn't effect the seeding in the national tourney, a solid run in the SEC baseball tourney could seal a regional for a few teams. While I'm not a big fan of the single elimination format, good lord it's going to lead to some interesting games.

8-1 Bama Bottom of 6th and Lehman comes in and can’t find the strike zone. Morris coming in with bases loaded.
Lebron goes 2-2 and gets pulled in the 4th after going in hard at 2nd. Hoping it is nothing serious.

I've really enjoyed listening to the games this season. There is a big drawback.

When LeBron got hurt sliding into 2nd last night...it was one of those times I wanted to see what happened; not hear a guy tell me about what happened.

FWIW, I'm told this morning "he's good."

I love the kid, but I’ve said this before… he’s a bit dramatic in that area. Unless he leaves the field on a stretcher, it’s really no concern.

I’m not a fan of made up stats. How did they do on Tuesday games when they had eggs for breakfast?
