⚾ 🥎 ⚾ 2026 SEC Baseball Standings. Week 7 (of 10.) UA, 10th in the SEC, 4th RPI, #12 KPI

SEC Baseball is so awesome. Tell me that in any given year any team in the conference could win the Conference Championship and you wouldn't necessarily be surprised they were that good.

Yesterday morning I glanced over the SEC standings and got a laugh seeing UT at #14. (Strangely enough, I was "hatin'" on Tennessee before Brandon this week!)

Here's an observation. UT is currently 4-8. They have six SEC series left; two of them against the current top teams in the conference. IF we were to assume they improve and break even (9-9,) they'll be sitting at 13-17 in the SEC.

Today, their RPI would put them in the 64: on RPI alone. Will their RPI be enough to get them in post-season play?

Just to kick a Vol when they're down.

Of those six series, three come against Bama, Texas, and Ole Miss.

If we look at the NCAA as a whole, here are the teams with the most Q1 wins this season; to date:

UT is on the road this weekend against State.

Teams above Bama had a few struggles this weekend. The Tide drops from 3rd to 5th in conference but remains two games back of the leader.

Florida took the opener against a higher ranked Auburn last night. The Gators, and the 'Backs, are starting to play some good baseball.

A rough couple of weeks for Bama. RPI is the saving grace, so to speak. KPI still keeps Bama in the running for a Regional.

Away: Tennessee / South Carolina
Three of six? I think they can get at least two wins against UofSC. One this weekend against UT.

Home: Vandy/ Ole Miss
Hrrmm.
