🏈 BAMA's (and SEC) grades at the combine.

HAHA, me and a friend were talking about Massie just yesterday and how he made a great choice going to Ol Miss instead of Bama.

We were talking about recruiting and how it's basically a "heres your chance to play for Bama kid, you want it then here it is but if you hesitate we're moving on. Get on board or get out of the way"- Keenan Allan, the FSU kid that was crying because mom and coach made him choose FSU over Bama, and half a dozen other kids who think they can shop us around. I think thats partly why you see us with so many early commits from top players because they want to get in while they can and not risk the spot being filled by someone else.

You might have to use the drop down menu to select SEC.

You'd never guess who is grading out the lowest...or, you probably will now that I think about it.

Look at Bobby Massie. That's a huge waste of talent because of coaching as I see it...remember, he came in to Oxford that same time Nutt signed 35+ players.

Not surprising that he's rated low, but it is surprising to me that he's rated the lowest.

Not shocked we have the top 2...4 of the top 7...or 5 of the top 9 depending on how you want to look at it. Look at Chapman!

Also, I tend to disagree with their breakdown of Hanks. Not necessarily where he graded out at, but just their analysis of what he brings to the table and what his weaknesses are. They talk like he has all sorts of speed but offers nothing more than being a downfield threat.

I noticed they had Greg Childs having a really good game at the BCS championship and that how could have an affect on his draft status. So, seeing them miss on one of these analysis doesn't come as a shock.

I'm guessing Hanks didn't do well on the possession drills they had the players running. Joe Adams isn't grading out well either. And, he's a better receiver than Darius in my opinion.

Did you know Darius' longest reception in his career at Bama was 35 yards? And that was during his sophomore year? Evidently they didn't/don't.

He was our third down "go to guy" last year. 75% of his catches were for first downs and right at 85% of his catches on third down resulted in first down. One of his bright spots of his senior year? Uou could count on his receptions being explosive plays about a third of the time. I want to say he had seven catches that were for 15 yards or more (21 on the year.)

Found this sentence on the analysis of Maze a little confusing.

"There are question marks surrounding every aspect of Maze's departure from Alabama and entry into the draft."

These guys sleepwalk through some of their film study? Maze was a senior, didn't get suspended any, played and contributed, got hurt in the 1st quarter of the Title game. Must be some confusion there!!

I don't think they have film study. Based on what I've read, it's all based on what they have seen at this combine. With no real way to put one player with one team I think they are just putting things out there they believe are correct without double-checking.

Editors, the profession? A long lost art. Believe you me, I see it every day at work.

"Of the 315 players graded by NFL.com at the NFL scouting combine that concluded in Indianapolis Tuesday, former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson finished 315th with a rating of 44 based on a scale that had a top rating of 100.
"Jefferson has serious mechanical issues that affect his play," NFL.com said. "He lacks awareness in the pocket and tries to rely on his scrambling ability too heavily, causing him to take bad sacks. There are many fundamental elements of Jefferson's game that need work before he would be ready to run an NFL offense."

Jordan Jefferson comes in last at NFL combine.
