I hope we avoid being an 8 or 9, simply because if we win we play a 1.
We played two tough teams in their place, where their average foul shot attempts combined, compared to ours, was approximately 3 to 1, with our top 3 players fouling out with 5 mins left to play in one, and nearly fouling out in the other. We were playing against the refs, the fans, AND our opponents. And we win both against all those odds.

I feel like the way we're playing right now, we could hold our own with any team in the country on a neutral court.

I don't disagree, SLO, I had just rather avoid say Kansas or Villanova until at least the sweet 16.

Something that has really impressed me these last two games is how basketball smart we have been in them, at least most of the time. I remember seeing some early season footage where CAJ was talking about teaching oour guards how to move the defense to get the shot we want. How many times have we seen RO or JC penetrate, and when the defense collapsed hit Norris, Edwardsor even Hale in the corner for an open three. Last nigh LSU was not collapsing the wing player on RO, and he was getting all the way to the basket. A year ago we would be back to throwing it around the perimeter and putting up a contested three late in the shot clock.

I am so pumped about how these guys are playing near to their potential and are excited about it.

Isn't it awesome that were discussing the possibility of maybe a Sweet 16 berth, when we didn't even think NIT was a possibility this year, and the SEC media had us finishing at the bottom of the conference?

All I was hoping for was visible improvement on the floor, and let the record fall where it may. I think most of us were expecting that. The improvement we saw initially was better ball movement and quicker shots like you said, but shots just weren't falling. Now they're starting to fall.

CAJ has FAR exceeded our expectations for this season. So much so, that he is a real SEC COY candidate, who will more than likely win. He's earned his money, and probably a raise, to be honest...lol
