🏈 Bama Presser tomorrow-early entrees

IMO, Humphrey is not ready for the NFL.

Not even close. He's not near the player Ha Ha, Landon, or Dee Milliner were. He's about where Vinnie Sunseri was, and we see how that worked for him. Gets smoked deep way too often. Surprised me with his increased ability to come up and pop you in run coverage, but his cover skills need work. I mean, look no further than Jonathon Allen to see what the extra year can do for you.

I would be interested as to ehat advice Bobby gives Marlon. We know a lot of these kids have NOTHING and choose to make the jump early in an attempt to help their family at home. Marlon doesn't fall in that group. Sometimes, kids will listen or take the advice from someone NOT related to them even though it is the same advice. This could be a case where the opposite may be true. CNS says, "Marlon, I really feel like you could benefit from another year with us! The money will be there. Instead of being pick 28 or even 30, that extra year could put you inside the Top 5!" Marlon replies, "I'm gone. I'm ready for the NFL!"
Bobby says, "Marlon, you aren't ready. While the ability is there, you struggled way more than you should. Go back for another year. Improve your game in the areas where you are weak." Marlon, "OK Dad. You are right! The money will be there!"
I know it is a stretch, but it is possible.

Working from home today, not to miss the Presser... I am so ready to get this, NSD, and the Draft on.... need to clear some of the mist and ... wait... how long until A-Day... can't wait until A-Day, see how the Lines (both O and D) map out, and how the QB competition works. ... When does the fail camp begin??? crap I am too hyped up for next year... Will never be able to keep my energy evened out at this pace... I will burn out by the combine....
Roll Tide y'all... Roll Tide Team.. Roll Tide Roll

Yeah but how do we know that Bobby's advice would be for Marlon to stay. Bobby Humphrey is one of the negative examples of staying for your senior year. Broke his foot - twice - and then went from probably a Top 10 back to barely being picked in the bottom of the first round.

We don't. I was just trying to put it out there, that Bobby, having been there and done that. He could give Marlon a different perspective. I know all about Bobby. I was being recruited to BAMA during the year he broke his foot.

Like I said, most of the time, we have a hard time with our kids following our advice. That same advice come from a coach that they admire or a teacher, it is the gospel. Just saying that there is always the possibility of Marlon leaning more on his dad's words than what Coach Saban says.
