šŸˆ Bama opening up 17 point favorite over A&M

It took A&M 2OT at home to beat UT even though UT had 7 turnovers.

Bama destroyed UT at Neyland.

I'd be tempted to expect more than 17, but I expect a bit of a let up after this week so 17 might be about right.

Yes, I know "transitive property" et.al., but these were consecutive weeks.

This.

I expect a good handful of designed QB draws for Hurts to run right thru Myles Garrett and company.

Fun fact(s); Garrett, as much as announcers and Kyper himself slob his nob, doesn't even lead their D in sacks. Also, (ass-to-mouth) aTm has a Jon Allen and Ryan Anderson, both DL, of their own...Screenshot_2016-10-16-13-43-45.png

I was not expecting it to open quite this high, I thought maybe 10.5 or so. I do think IF we play our "A" game and they play their "A" game, we win by at least 17 but I have been known to be a touch prejudiced

Eight weeks in a row. Saban will say "No excuses", but guys we know how these weeks take a toll. This week was the UT game last season. We win, but I still don't think it will be near as purty as this week. I hope I'm wrong. I don't like close games.

Well, if we could ever stop the home office from giving multiple teams bye weeks before they play the Tide would be helpful. But I like Bama at home.

Besides A&M, who else has 2 weeks to prepare for Bama? There have been an inordinate amount in the last few years, but thus season seems fair. No doubt the Vols felt the effects of not having a week off.

Multiple over a number of years. The fact that Texas A&M has a bye for us is exactly what we had to deal with last season playing the vols. It almost got us. Now here comes the 6th ranked team after 8 weeks and they will be rested and very informed about their opponent. Why must this be an every year set up with Alabama in the schedule?

Depends on your definition of fair. Texas A&M doesn't have one SEC team who has a bye before they play. Tennessee doesn't have a single bye team, Ole Miss doesn't play a single SEC bye team.

It's always a crapfest with these bye teams.

I sure hope we exploit his ass like he needs to be. I have been sick of them on his d for two years now. Do like we did to Jarvis Jones, run right at his ass. I'm actually more worried about his teammate than I am him.

Not nearly as bad as it used to be. There were 14 byes (obviously) in the original schedule. 13 teams chose SEC opponents to follow the off week. USC oddly chose UMass, but that follows with UT. Of the other 13 bye weeks, teams playing a rested team are Bama (2), Arkansas (2), aubrun (2), Florida (3), LSU (1), USC (1), Mizzou (1) and UGA (1).

For Alabama, we only play one team coming off a bye week when we also don't have a bye, and that's aTm. We share an off week with LSU. Like I said, not as bad as it was several years ago. This is an area where the league saw an inconsistency and addressed it.

Going a bit deeper, however, shows we still get fresh teams. We got Ole Miss after a tough Wofford game; Arkansas had Alcorn State; aubrun has Alabama A&M (but we have Chattanooga). That's pretty prevalent around the league.

RTR,

Tim

I hear the vols are going to spend a little north of a hundred and fifty mil to renovate that rusty tin can by the river. I would sincerely suggest doing something about the cramp end zones in that rust bucket. There is absolutely nowhere to go past the goalpost. Amazing more players aren't carted off trying to maneuver around the super tight quarters.

One more suggestion: Put some adult seats back in that place. Like visiting my granddaughter at preschool.
