I thought Alabama was the villain? If Arkansas wins it's supposedly healthy for the west division, otherwise, it's theorized that someone might get bored with our product. Why would Arkansas be more qualified for such a role than LSU, Ole Miss, or the barners?

Bama needs a villain

Historically, a team that plays as dirty as Arkansas has should not be considered the hero in any sense of the word.

Also their defense has some real problems at this point. I have a hard time imagining that they will solve all of their issues against DH and JJ running the ball.

Their strength as usual is their run game. Reuben and the others are waiting...

i think the only other real challenge we'll face, within the regular season, is tennessee. and that's mainly just their quarterback. their defense doesn't seem to be all that and really doesn't impress me a whole lot. and arkansas has a decent running game, as usual. but they're not elite like they like to think. they'll test us, sure, but i'm thinking by the 2nd quarter we'll have the answers and be doing a decent job of limiting them to may 2-4 yards/carry. they'll definitely have the big play or two, but i don't think they'll really challenge us towards the end. they may go up early, maybe even by 10 points or so. but by the second half, it may not be as close as they'd like to think.

their stadium will be loud in the beginning as they'll be looking to play spoiler.

i'm just hoping our guys aren't looking forward to next week's game.

Some of the national articles I've read about this year's Arkansas team is ridiculous. Many just refer to them as a power run team that will keep hammering away. Not since OC Enos arrival last season has that been true. They still will run downhill but they are as balanced as they've been under Bielema. Allen is throwing the ball to their best assets this season, the receivers and tight ends. They even have some spread looks out of it. The one big drawback has been at times a breakdown in protection, cause Allen has taken some licks. Still, he's only thrown 2 interceptions and he can run if he has too. Probably in every way he reminds me of his brother. I suspect Arkansas will try our LBs with the tight ends in the passing game and try to get what they can with the rushing attack. I think our defense will have their hands full but will match up better than most think because of the razorbacks pro-style approach. I also think their defense has been exposed up the middle all season, especially with a running QB. They will struggle with our scheme and speed on the edges. If we don't have foolish turnovers and untimely penalties we should take care of a stubborn but overmatched razorback team.
