some long field field goals will build confidence. Roll Tide

About this.....

I have a question. Many on this forum are intimately involved with the program in some fashion and probably know something I don't, so...

When you're in an opportunity where you have a significant lead during a big game, on a big stage, in a 4th down situation.. And you have the ability to "test" an unknown, to build confidence etc... Why would we not be doing that with Adam Griffith? He is the unknown and the one who needs experience. Ideally, it would be great if we didn't end up in situations this season where we need to kick a critical FG in a really close game but that likely won't be the case. That said, and considering how CNS was forced to handle it during the natl championship game (go for it or else bring in Shelley), I don't see why we would have someone at our disposal who is supposedly so good and not utilize them.. if for no other reason than to at least make a point to the fans. So I'm guessing someone here knows something I don't. Is Griffith not delivering? Did Foster experience divine intervention during off season?

It was a BEAUTIFUL thing. Dont get me wrong plenty of stuff to work on but wow that O-Line, as good as advertised. Lacy just didnt look right tonight, he seemed to be limping at one point and looked frustrated in the 2nd half. Yeldon is a BEAST as is Fowler. AJ had a great game tho he did miss on a cpl deep passes that were there in the 2nd half, but the TD to Williams and the TD to White were things of beauty (White SHATTERED that corners ankles with the double move). Defense looked really great, cpl of mental errors allowed a few big plays but otherwise the guys that really stood out for me were DePriest, Nico, Mosley, Milliner (wow did he have a great game minus the play where he fell), and Sunseri. Square and Hubbard really set the edges well too and kept Robinson contained. Damn was Cody Mandell killin the punts tonight or what? ROLL TIDE!
