🏈 Bama-LSU predict the score

I can't make up my mind on the winner but I think it has to be a close, defensive slugfest. I don't think their o-line is good enough to create much of a running game. The match-up of their passing game against your secondary is intriguing. They have some big, physical WRs that will challenge Menzie and Dre.

Honest question, were the big passes by UF a misnomer? They are the only team I saw "gash" (on all of a handful of plays) you guys. I don't know if the cause is a mistake or a potential issue.

i think you can chalk up at least 3-4 long pass plays going for LSU in this one. the difference in the game will be whether they go for touchdowns or if they are tackled before getting there. if we can hold them to field goals after half of their big plays, we'll be set for a win.

i like Dre as a corner in close play... but on long pass plays down the sidelines in the past he gets beat and doesn't turn and look for the ball. this could kill us against this LSu team. their QB is really lighting it up on the long bombs and is right on the money to those big receivers. that's the only part of their team that scares me.

something tells me this game isn't gonna be close, the winner wins by at least two TD's.

I kind of agree with this. Although most pundits like it to be EXTREMELY close, and it very well could be, I think one team goes up by 14 or so, maybe on a turnover, and the other gets more desperate while the Defense takes over, pins back their ears, and makes life miserable for the team coming from behind.

These D's aren't Texas Tech/Oklahoma, or Michigan State/Wisconsin. Someone goes down by 2 TD's and it's toast.

Of course I hope the Tigers come out on top--be prepared for a few of us posting over here the next couple of weeks!

LSU 27 Tide 17

Louisiana sportswriters were saying that, if the 3 LSU guys who were suspended for Auburn didn't play against Bama, LSU has no chance. That, fellas, is total BS! I think we saw Saturday that they have reserves that can play football. The Hilliard kid is from Patterson, LA, just across the river from Morgan City (where I live). I was real proud of him against Auburn.

All that said, I think Bama will win the football game. One point or thirty, matters not to me. I gotta live with these Coonasses. Roll, Tide!
