BAMA In The NFL

Lacy looked really good when they started to finally block. He had a fumble earlier, which sucked because he had a 10 yard run before that, but was called back for hands to the face.

Julio was good today. Sadly also had a fumble at a critical moment.

Trent was "okay". God why he had to end up in Cleveland with Brandon Weeden at QB.

Julio's fumble, which was uncharacteristic as hell I think he has one other in his career, was bad and it led to a score but it was in the first half (same for Lacy) and you can't even start to blame that on the loss. When you have the ball inside the 5 for 1st and goal and cannot score, thats just unforgivable. And thats becoming a common trend for us, NO last year same situation and same situation in the NFC Championship. To have weapons like Julio Jones, Gonzo, and Steven Jackson and not be able to score inside the 5? Just ridiculous.

Trent and Ingram really ended up on strange teams. I think I feel worse for Ingram. He's on such a pass happy team that he's just not used effectively.

Hes on the Saints so its hard for me to feel sympathy for him but yeah its pretty pathetic. I dont understand how any of those backs are expected to get into any type of rhythm when they switch backs literally every play. Its alot easier for Sproles because hes more of a slash type player anyway playin in the slot about as much as he does in the backfield, but you can see Ingram get frustrated when he gets yanked out after every carry. There were multiple times when he got hit in the backfield and had to spin away just to get back to the line of scrimmage too.

Richardson is just on a bad team, period. He didn't get a single carry in the 4th which I would assume was because they were down but I would have thought hitting him with a draw or something would have kept things a little more balanced.

DeMeco Ryans had a great game, 8 tackles and a sack in Philly's win. Evan Mathis had a good game at guard too minus one hold.
Kareem Jackson had 3 tackles in a relatively quiet night for him (guess thats a good thing for a corner)
Jarrett Johnson had 4 tackles and a sack for San Diego
Le'Ron McClain had just one carry for 2 yards.

DeMeco apparently gave a hell of a pregame speech to get the defense pumped. It certainly worked (at least for the first half!).

Any video of it?

Hi what happen I went to bed with the Chargers leading 28-7. Wake up and Houston wins the game.

Houston just flat out scratched and clawed to get back in the game. Andre Johnson got free in the secondary and Matt Shaub started gettin hot, the defense settled in and didnt let San Diego do anything really in the 2nd half. Ended up winning it on a last second field goal.

As Birdman said, Shaub got hot near the end and Houston started getting momentum. It was just a crazy game overall. Houston was down by 7 in the 4th, thought for sure Rivers would orchestrate a good drive, then boom, Brian Cushing lays out and intercepts the ball, and returns it for a pick 6. After that, Houston just gets the ball back and kicks a field goal as time expires.

Julio had a great game, Roddy is limited because of an injury so they're leaning on Julio. Even with NO rushing game (36 yards total) he caught 11 of his 14 targets and had a huge 81 yard TD.

Early game stats.

- Dont'a Hightower, PATRIOTS: 8 tackles
- Julio Jones, FALCONS: 11 catches, 182 yards, 1 TD
- Eddie Lacy, PACKERS: 1 carry, 10 yards (left game with concussion, his backup had over 100 yards so that sucks)
- Trent Richardson, BROWNS: 18 carries, 58 yards; 5 catches, 21 yards
- Courtney Upshaw, RAVENS: 2 tackles
- Jarrett Johnson, CHARGES: 3 tackles
- DeMeco Ryans, EAGLES: 9 tackles
- Kareem Jackson, TEXANS: 6 tackles, 2 PBU
- Josh Chapman, COLTS: 1 tackle
