| PRO šŸˆ Bama In The NFL - 2024 Season Updates & Highlights

The season is over. Now, we have context versus a knee jerk reaction to a play here, a play there, this game or that one.

I'm not "owning" anything. I'm saying there's one question no one had, or has had, the answer.

Quite frankly, there are a few things with Jalen where I still haven't formed an opinion. It's not about his future, it's about his time at UA.

A few times this season I've said, "I'm watching." I still am. There are things that just don't add up to me. I'm not comfortable delving into those thoughts yet as they are related to Jalen as a person and how that relates to him as a player.

Let me leave you with this. You know I'm "fond" of leaving subtle comments.

IF I were producing a documentary on Jalen, and I'm looking at the featured vocalist for the soundtrack, I'm seriously considering Loren Allred.
Yeah well I have not idea who that is and what that means.

I was giving you propos for owning that you were putting the cart before the horse in the off season but sounds like you still are not. I was like tap the breaks and see before claiming but you were all in. I was hoping you were right but turns out you were not.

That's why it was called a subtle hint. A simple search, deductive reasoning ... :devilish:

You are misinterpreting what I've said.

We have a season we can look back upon almost in its entire context. I'm still "all in" on this staff. That hasn't changed. I expected 10 as the bench mark: nine didn't cut it. There is a "break," and it is between how you and I look at this past season.

I still have a few questions for which I don't have an answer. And, these questions aren't related to things we've discussed the last nine or so months.

I do find "cart before the horse" a bit ironic from where I'm sitting ... not making judgements about what we saw seems like I don't have the horse bridled, much less with the cart.

Okay.

Let's have a little fun in the form of a hijack here.

Step 1: "Who is Loren Allred?"

Jermaine Burton is not doing so well. He gets left off the Bengals roster, coach's decision, which means he did something stupid, and then he's getting evicted from his apartment and they want $10K because of extra damage. He needs to get himself together.

Jermaine Burton

I'll say this for the Bengals... they've been plenty patient with him and given him ample opportunities to get his head straight. Dude just ain't wired right, but he's got nobody to blame but himself.

El Tractorcito aka HTW"KING"DH is a first ballot HoFer. Almost 11.5K yards and he was a back up for his first couple of seasons. Barring injuries he's going to fly up to the top 10 in the next couple. Love to fucking see it. Roll Tide, King!

Yep, it's all icing on a HOF cake at this point. Hope he gets a SB ring to top it all off...

I don't think I've ever disliked a Bama player more than him. Might be a bad thing to say, but he was annoying.

Makes it worse when you see a guy wasting so much talent. Million dollar ability (would have been a round 2 selection at worst) and a 2 cent brain (was lucky as hell to go in round 3). There's a reason even Kirby let him walk away...

Today Henry completed his ninth season with an amazing 1,921 yards, passed Riggins for 19th all time. He is 15 yards behind Steven Jackson (12 seasons in NFL), and another 270 yards behind Fred Taylor (13 seasons) at 17. Other than Gore (#3 all time) and Peterson (#5), both waiting to be eligible for a HOF ballot and are first ballot locks, Jackson and Taylor are the last two backs ahead of Henry who are not in the HOF.

You never know when a player's production will drop off, but looking to next season, the next eight spots are less than a thousand yards from Henry. And, today's his birthday. Happy Birthday, King!

Pittsburgh is abusing this Bengals o-line tonight, they've given them different looks in formation, have used an abundance of different blitz concepts, which resulted in a free man to the quarterback numerous times tonight. They've even gotten there with an organic pass rush as well tonight. And they're still losing because their offense has been stagnant all night. If they don't get that fixed quick, they'll be knocked out of the playoffs early and sitting at home.

The Steelers Bengals game is one of those that gives people the thought that the NFL is scripted or fixed. Team scores 7 through 3.5 quarters, other team gets it inside the 30 almost every possession with ease but then has to kick FGs each time. Then halfway through the 4th, losing team canā€™t be stopped all of a sudden and scores 10 straight while getting a few quick stops, then gets one final stop with time to go down and get the win. I donā€™t say itā€™s fixed, but thereā€™s a lot of games like this that feed the theories. Make a bad game exciting to keep folks watching.

The Steelers love them some Mike Tomlin, heā€™s never had a losing season. They havenā€™t won a playoff game since 2016. Thatā€™s hard to imagine for an organization with such a winning history. Looks like the streak will continue to 8 years without a win if they have to visit Baltimore next week. They squeaked by the Ravens at home 18-16 but got hammered in Baltimore. And the Steelers offense hasnā€™t been able to reach 20 points in their last 4 games.
