| PRO šŸˆ Bama In The NFL - 2024 Season Updates & Highlights

I was HOPING someone would catch this!!!

If I'm not mistaken, he only had two possessions at Bama: first down rushing on an end around.

A few years ago I remember seeing his name quite a bit as a SR receiver for SDSU.

I was following this game a little closer since I had money on the Over. With a 12-0 Halftime score I said forget it knowing it would be impossible to win, but then I was checking another score and noticed the Bills blew it open in the third quarter and caught his name. Happy for him, and a guy I felt had amazing size that would win a lot of jump balls and get down the sideline. Good for him sticking with it after early struggles to his time now.

These bama guys are pretty good lol.... Roll Tide Gentlemen...
Think about this for a minute in our ongoing discussions about how the game has changed over the last ten years.

Rewind to '11. We're looking at a NC game and both Bama and LSU fans are marveling over the amount of talent on the field. Arguably, two of the best defenses to meet in a head to head matchup. That era, known for the defense.

Now, let's fast forward to today for a second before rewinding again. When pressured, there are a few QB's who stand out above the rest in the league. Burrow, followed by Bryce, lead the NFL in TD's thrown while under pressure.

The NFL X account I've linked a few times points to almost six hundred touchdowns by former BAMA players in the league since 2019.

Rewind: In 2019 we were watching Burrow destroy defenses. We saw a handful of Bama QB's doing the same. Look at the RB production in the league today: the top five are highlighted by Bama guys. WR's? Jamo showed out last night. Smitty does every week. We see Bama guys scoring each and every week: just look at the number of posts by @Brandon Van de Graaff on Bama TD's.

A decade ago Bama guys in the league were known for their defensive prowess. Today, it's the offensive guys. That all started in the middle of the last decade when we saw....checks notes...a dramatic shift on how the game is played. Now, there's collegiate evidence as well as professional examples.

Things are cyclic. Adjustments will be made to swing to Defense and then back to offense.

I am going to refrain for now from expression my opinion of todays game and year one under CKD.

Why? You've never refrained from expressing opinion in the past to my knowledge.

Correct me if I'm wrong here. This is what I've been saying for several years now. This is an offensive game today.
Well I think I have refrained from saying what I am really thinking :). Trying to give CKD time as I think that really is necessary as I argued with you back in the off season. You were one of those really optimistic people as I recall in what you thought they would be able to do in year one. I was like tap the breaks and let them at least play a game and play a season or two

On the cyclic comment, I am just waiting on the cycle where a dominating Bama Defense returns. You know the one that holds teams to less than 300 ypg, single digit scoring and opponents OC stops trying to run the ball because there is no use trying One can dream :).

Don't you think that the Offense will be better next year will CD coaching?

By CD I assume you are talking about Deboer. Sorry I usually put CKD. I sure hope the offense is significantly better. I was just replying to Terry;s comment about sports being cyclic and I want to see the return of dominating Bama defenses. Of course idealy we would also have a great offense.

I've never liked the phrase "deer in the headlights." It isn't that the phrase is wrong; I just don't like the phrase. Unfortunately, it fits with Jalen a few times this season.

That's something I did not expect. There were signs that he'd moved past that stage as a QB. I didn't see his mental outlook changing from game to game, and certainly didn't expect to see ...
