DeMeco is impresssive.... Great interview. No idea if he would consider doing the college thing or not but would love to see him coaching in Tuscaloosa one day.

I believe if the circumstances were right, he absolutely would strongly consider it. But, if he's as successful as a HC in the NFL as I think he'll be, those circumstances may never align. I think he'd crush it though as a college coach.

Wonder what he makes with the Texans? You throw the immediate $10M with some perks and maybe he'd consider. He's a guy that I think has earned his reputation and shown he will be there for a long time, unlike a lot of coaches that make a quick splash and fade away. I am not one for splash hires, but I do feel he is a guy you would go all in on and make the big bet with.

I'd love to see Ryans in Tuscaloosa, but I also want him to succeed in the NFL, and those two things - up to a point - can't both happen. If he's wildly successful in the NFL, I don't think we'd ever get him. I'm trying to think of a very successful NFL coach who has returned to college, none come to mind except Harbaugh.

Yeah, Tua will be fine. Mac is caught in a downward spiral right now unfortunatelyā€¦ they are headed in 2 different directions.
I hate the Niners even more now knowing they took Lance over him. Mac would have been spectacular in Shannahan's offense. But then he got thrown into the wolves at New England. He had a decent rookie year, then the Patriots hired a DC to call plays and then replaced him with Bill O'Brien. With no players to support him.

Yep, he'd have killed it out there.
