I'll dare argue that, given the comments and reports we've seen over the last week from the UGA side, in any other context (different game or different teams) we'd see a lot suggest Georgia is trying to talk themselves into the ability to win a game against Bama. It's not a situation where they're walking in believing they can win: they've nothing to support those beliefs.
What I find interesting about this game goes back to last season. Since the loss Bama took in 2007 they've reeled off seven in a row against UGA. Out of those seven every one has taken place in Athens or in Atlanta: Georgia's back yard. The only one that didn't offer that advantage? Last season's loss against Bama—the only true road game for the Bulldogs out of those seven contest. They were blown out.
IF we choose to take the route that Georgia eliminates their mistakes we also have to chose Alabama can do the same. With that being the case we have two evenly matched teams. How do you judge a contest like this when we're dealing with two fairly evenly matched teams?
It's starts at the top with the head coach. Where does the advantage lay here?
Next stop? Quarterback. Where does the advantage lay here?
Throughout this season leading into the SECCG there were questions often repeated: what happens when Georgia faces a dynamic offense? Can their offense keep up?
We got these answers in ATL but like a lot in the media it's as if that game didn't occur.
What happens when UGA faces a dynamic offense? Based on what we've seen versus speculated they can't keep up. But, we're in the midst of a prevailing notion Georgia is going to change their offense over a week.
