šŸˆ Bama gets its 2017 QB!

hmmm.... I don't know much about this guy, but QB highlight films never get me all that excited... HS defense's are mostly crap. I can never tell is a kid is a superstar or just fortunate to play in a soft league with good players on his side of the ball. Having said that, I hope we close on the deal and he turns out the be stellar for us...

WATCH... lol

It was about this time last week I saw the first few threads discussing film. If I read one, I read 15 different people offering their opinions on his film. Most were impressed.

The 247 Sports stats don't match up with others I've come across today. IF we assume they're true, it shows he's been making good decisions in their offense. Competition be damned if he's completing a lot, moving the chains, and NOT throwing INT's.

Solid appraisal I'd think:

Coach Lee thinks Tua can fit into any offensive system.

"The first thing I think of when I look at him is that he's very athletic," Lee said. "You have to have a guy who can move, and he can move. He's got great feet and he makes good decisions. Then you go to his arm strength. He has a very good arm and he's accurate. One thing I like about him is that he doesn't let things get to him. He can take criticism and coaching. He's not a finished product. Don't get me wrong, he's got plenty to learn and room to grow and develop as a quarterback. But he's capable of doing it."

What more can you ask?

I saw a thread over on another site from last night discussing left handed quarterbacks ... seems I recall the conclusion was David Smith was the last one who threw a pass for Bama. A quarter of a century ... all right handed guys.

David Smith, Mike Shula, Don Jacobs (I think) and Stabler are the only ones that come to mind since Snake.

What about Coker?
