Well I have us covering in my prediction, I'd have to think about betting on it though. It's possible, it just depends on if we get off to a good start and if we let off the gas.

Bama does have the history of not covering the spread but there seems to be a different attitude in the air this year. We'll see.

Vegas has Bama picked by 30 over Tulane. Knowing Bama's history I think I'll take the points for a beer. :D

Bamsambo, I never can understand your posts. With that Golden Eagle avatar, all I can think of are hot, buttered biscuits slathered with Golden Eagle.

For what it's worth, I think we'll cover the spread against Tulane. We'll cover it with beautiful, sweet Golden Eagle.

Tim

I'm originally from Fayette County, which is where Golden Eagle is manufactured.

Oh yeah, I know. Golden Eagle and Yellow Label are two special reasons I cherish my Alabama heritage. My wife made a pecan pie with Cairo syrup once, just once. I should have saved her the trouble and downed a pint of transmission fluid.

I hear ya on the Karo. Might as well eat a bag of sugar. Everybody knows a good syrup has to have honey in it, or some sorghum at the least. :D

Truer words have never been spoken.

I do like my authentic maple syrup, too, though.

Aw, son! Y'all done flung a cravin' up on me for biscuits an syrup! :D

The refusal to admit that Golden Eagle is Superior in every way to all other types of syrup is one of the most frustrating parts of being married to a yankee. :?

Not football related at all, but I remember spending the night with a friend of mine when I was 15, waking up the next moring, and his dad who seemed like 60 then made buscuits that next morning, and smothered them in the Golden Eagle, I had never imagined syrup on anything but pcakes. Wow.Still eating buscuits, and syrup today. That's when I learned about sopping.

Dadgummit. Don't you folks know that there are people trying to diet around here!

Carbs soaked in liquid sugar! There may not be anything better tasting on earth...unless it is carbs covered in grease soaked flour.

I need to go to bed before I do something I will regret.
