Some O.J. Howard news...

One of the on-field stars at the Senior Bowl has been Alabama tight end O.J. Howard. Behind the scenes, sources say that Howard also was very impressive in the team interviews. They said he was great in the meeting room, and they came away very impressed with him as a person. Howard is taking full advantage of the Senior Bowl to solidify his standing as a first-round pick with a real shot to go in the top 20.

OJ Howard is the intriguing one for my money. I still believe we totally whiffed on Howard's abilities for the entire 4 years. From the first time we accidently turned him loose against LSU, across the middle for a TD, his freshman season, we just never believed in his measurables. If Howard goes to a team with a scheme and QB like drew Brees, he'd be in that pro bowl before you could say Roll Tide!!

Plus, when I saw this thread a few days ago, I didn't get the impression that it dealt with the combine itself. Thought it was more so discussing Ruben than the combine overall. I guess I should open and read every once in awhile...lol
